|
Ann is a Certified Business
Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Business Resilience Manager
(CBRM), Member of the Business Continuity Institute (MBCI), and qualified
under the Cyber Protection Supply Arrangement (CPSA) as a Senior BCM
resource with Secret Clearance. Ann has extensive international experience
developing and implementing global BCP programs for clients such as Xerox,
Price Waterhouse Coopers along with Nortel, and every level of government
on business continuity, disaster recovery, emergency response, incident
management, crisis communications, and pandemic plans. Ann has also managed many emergencies and BCP
activations during widespread business disruptions, all resulting in no
lost revenues and successful plan execution. Her experience includes
facilitating over 200 simulation exercises and development of plans across
diverse organizations and industries. Ann is also the President of the
Toronto Chapter of the Disaster Recovery
Information Exchange (DRIE) and a member of the Ontario Association of
Emergency Managers. Ann chairs the Greater Toronto Incident Management
Exchange (GTIME) established within DRIE to partner public and private organizations
in management of a wide scale disaster in the Greater Toronto Area.

Diana Mann, CA, ABCP
|
|
Diana
has 15 years of business experience with a primary focus on Finance and
Information Systems. In addition she has supported supply chain
management and HR initiatives. She is highly practiced and skilled at
risk assessments and contingency planning in a global business
environment.
At
Nortel Networks Diana managed numerous systems projects and associated
business processes. This involved understanding of business impacts
and compliance requirements in order to deliver new developments and
upgrades on a timely and effective basis. Assessing user
requirements, development of appropriate test plans and testing prior to
production ensured success. Throughout her career she has facilitated
workshops effectively balancing user requirements with IT deliverables.
Diana’s involvement in business continuity planning commenced approximately
7 years ago with responsibility for the Finance BCP at Nortel. This
exercise required business risk assessment and contingency planning for a
geographically dispersed function. More recently Diana has
redesigned tools and templates for use by HZX Consulting to support client
needs for Business Continuity Planning. This encompassed the analysis
of existing methodology to streamline customer delivery in compliance with
DRII best practices and development of BCP tools for small to medium
business. Recent customer accounts include the Toronto Hostels emergency
plan audit, SuiteWorks, Nova Steel, and CAMIC.

Jeff Rose, CPSA WS3
|
|
Jeff has extensive experience in
project management, risk assessments, business impact analysis, prevention
and mitigation planning, coaching and training within the Business
Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery Planning field, utilizing industry
standards, such as COBIT, ITIL, ISO 17799. His experience ranges over
various industries such as manufacturing, health care, publishing,
banking, finance, auditing and accounting. Jeff has recently assessed Honda
Canada and MediSystem IT controls as part of their BCP, DR and SOX
compliance. Jeff has also recently worked on implementing BCP programmes
and pandemic components at Nortel, the Smart Systems for Health Agency,
Service Canada - Ontario Region, Family and Childrens Services of Kitchener
/ Waterloo Region, Hydro Ottawa and has audited emergency management
programmes for the City of Toronto.

Mark Baker, CBCP, FCIP, CRM
|
|
Mark is a Certified Business
Continuity Professional (CBCP) and a Fellow, Chartered Insurance Professional
(FCIP) with a speciality in Risk Management (CRM). Mark has over 15 years of experience in
developing business continuity plans and exercises for major insurance
companies and small business. He has
responded to varied disasters from the ice storm to the Peterborough
flood. He is presently a
member of DRIE GTA TIME (Greater Toronto Incident Management
Exchange). Mark has published
articles on Natural Hazards, Disasters, Business Continuity and Risk
Management. He is currently completing a MA in Disaster and Emergency
Management at Royal
Roads University
.

Vicky Zabonas, B.Comm, CA
|
|
Vicky Zabonas is a B.Comm, and
C.A., as well as being an accomplished project management resource with 20
years of experience focused on project management, systems implementation,
business process analysis, risk assessment and systems
deployments. Her consulting efforts have spanned project
management for large systems and applications projects for finance, supply
chain management and human resources. She has held progressively
senior roles in the organization, successfully melding understanding of
technology applications with business requirements. She has a
detailed understanding of IT environments, transaction processing,
associated business processes, compliance requirements and continuity
aspects.

Todd Bardes, BSc, CBCP,
CBRM, FICB
|
|
Todd Bardes is a risk management
and business resilience professional.
He draws on more that 35 years of banking experience and over 15
years of Incident Management, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity,
Crisis Management and Emergency Response. These activities have been
located in North America and the Caribbean. As a Business Continuity Management
Advisor to one of the major international financial institutions, he has
work to develop resilient emergency recovery strategies and preparation for
emergencies within extensive retail networks, call centre environments and major
installations. He has also developed
enterprise-wide emergency communication systems.
Mr. Bardes is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers and holds
certification as a Certified Business Continuity Professional –
International (CBCP) and the Certified Business Resilience Manager (CBRM)
granted by the Business Resilience Certification Consortium International.
Todd has also made presentations to the World Conference on Disaster
Management and a national organization concerning “Emergency Preparedness
for Guide Dog Users”.
Mr. Bardes has been involved in
numerous training, certification and profession development seminars and
currently serves as the Vice President of the Disaster Recovery Information
Exchange (DRIE).

Stephen Fowler, P. Eng
|
|
Steve developed and managed the
Real Estate BCP program for Nortel (75 BCP Plans covering 250 locations
globally), with responsibilities that included global plan assessments, annual
upgrades and testing, as well as real event management.
He managed the integration of
Real Estate, IT and business processes in corporate BCP planning and
execution and has extensive experience in BCP scenario development and
integration testing.
Steve is an electrical engineer,
with skills in project management and expertise in building operations,
maintenance and tenant services. He most recently led Nortel Real Estate’s
Sustainability program, establishing Nortel’s carbon footprint, and
reduction targets, and embedding sustainable practices in all Real Estate
services.

Mara has an extensive background
in all aspects of systems design and implementation including contingency
planning and disaster recovery planning. This experience includes
participation in all phases of the project life cycle from analysis, design
and testing through to training and support. She has experience in
industries where policies and internal controls are essential to day to day
business such as a banking, brokerage and federal government.

Senior Associate - Bob Stevenato
Bob is a Registered
Professional Planner. He has more
than 20 years of consulting experience, specializing in assisting clients
in the development and implementation of a wide range of emergency
preparedness projects. He provides emergency planning consulting work
to a range of large and small municipalities, has become familiar with
municipal structures and the relationship to external agencies, including
volunteer organizations, Provincial agencies, Region Departments and
private sector companies that could be involved in preparing for,
responding to and recovering from a major emergency. In recent years he has assisted the City
of Hamilton, City of Brampton and the Region of Peel on multiple projects,
including emergency plans, EOC plans and audits, exercises to test plans,
Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) and speciality
contingency plans for pandemic, CBRN and evacuation. He offers expertise in designing,
administering and analyzing surveys, conducting focus groups, facilitating
meeting and mediating contentious issues between stakeholders.

Yong provides expertise and
assistance in the implementation of global BCP Programs managing complex
projects ranging from web applications, research and development
continuity, to client training and development toolkits. Yong has a
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering & Management from McMaster
University and received his Master's of Applied Science from the University
of Toronto.
